Depending on the needs of the relying Party, the CAO Attestation session can require the affiant to go through an additional enrollment process that assigns a unique universal digital x.509 certificate. This allows the affiant to digitally sign emails, documents, and photos establishing a level of accountability and authenticity. The digital signature establishes that the documents have not been changed or altered since the author signed them. 

Document integrity is extremely important in this digital world where document integrity and authenticity can be suspected. When a document is digitally signed by the author it cannot be altered without notifying the receiver that the document has been tampered with by some nefarious person. The reader will immediately know that the document has been altered and should not be trusted.
