Solving Identity Problems
Identity Attestation Solves The Identity Problem
Various Identity Verification self-service platforms match up a sample of an individual’s (affiant’s) documents (Driver’s license, Passport, or other identity items) and check the box, that acknowledges the identity of the individual.
But in a world where fake IDs are becoming more common place how can you be sure that an individual is who they say they are? Are you willing to bet on a computer application alone to confirm someone’s identity before you give them access to your network and your organization’s assets?
That’s why CAO Identity Attestation Services are important to provide the customer (relying party) with a comprehensive Identity Attestation review that includes a notarial “Statement of Fact” attesting that the individual (affiant) is who they say they are. This review includes different evidence of identity (EOI) presented in an online Attestation Session. The Attestation Sessions are conducted by a CAO-certified Attestation Officer who is also a Remote Online Notary.
Our identity Attestation process is straightforward paring an Attestation Officer with the affiant over an online meeting to review EOIs and confirm their authenticity.
CAO will work with the relying party to specify the individual EOIs required. Based on the relying parties’ request, COA can provide a numerical scoring of the EOIs and other factors to establish the measurable reliability of the affiant’s identity. The scoring method can be our own IDQA score approach, NIST 800-63-3, or others as requested by the relying party. The scoring approach is important as it can be used to match the certainty of the affiant’s identity to the access level required to perform their work.
